We’ve had beautiful sunny, breezy autumn weather but I’m still feeling the blues. There is so much negativity about at the moment I’m determined to brighten up myself and hopefully everyone that’s reading this too.
……So pick a night and push the boat out. Set the table with an autumnal theme. A little vase of autumn coloured flowers or some branches, whatever you can get your hands on. I’ve some autumn coloured paper napkins too, a bit mixy-matchy but they will give the autumn feel and possibly some candles.
Then I’m making a root veg bake and a slow cook casserole and if I’m organised a fruit compote. So not much more effort in the cooking but a bit more effort and drama in the table. I’m making an occasion of it and I’m going to celebrate. Celebrate the season and the things I appreciate. I hope you feel the same way and join me.
Remember this “occasion” doesn’t have to be dinner or super time it can be a breakfast or even a lunch. Just enjoy the extra effort you’ve made.
