Thank goodness for Christmas

It’s dark, wet and cold. Thank goodness for Christmas to give me something to look forward to.

The flower borders are far too wet to do anything too now so those that have been mulched are ready for spring and those that haven’t will have to wait until the new year and the weather turns and dries up a little.

We’re still harvesting every week mostly greens and brassicas but some root crops are still surviving the cold wet conditions.Menu ideas for this weekRoasted squash risotto.Remember the leftovers rolled into balls and reheated by gently frying make a delicious lunchCurried parsnip soup.Serve with herby croutonsSteak with roasted Jerusalem artichokes and a carrot and onion slaw.Mince and dumplings with braised red cabbageVeggie quiche*Please remember to get your Christmas orders in as soon as possible for meat, veg, trees and wreaths

Thank you and enjoy your week.

Beth
