Menu ideas for the week

I’m writing this snacking on a slice of homemade bread with homemade hummus and thick slices of the most fabulous Christmas farm tomatoes. Lunch just doesn’t get much better than this.

And all the ingredients are available in the extras or the farm shop. Y’all know I’m a lazy cook so all these things are super easy and quick to make, plus both the hummus and the bread freeze really well.We have had some temperature extremes this week. We recorded over 30 degrees C in the middle of the day and 2 days later it was 3 degrees C first thing in the morning.

Autumn. The sun is shining now but there is a definite change in the weather. The mornings are cool and the light is waning. Salad produce are slowing down but we are coming into leafy greens and tasty root season.
