November, November we are here already. It’s darker evenings and wood smoke.
Slow cooking and cosy nights in. We don’t really slow down on Christmas farm however, well it is Christmas farm after all and we are all getting really excited.
Everyone has lists, lists of things to harvest, lists of things to make and lists of lists. The whole team are really pulling together to make it THE most wonderful time of the year!….just as we do every year but we really feel it means a little bit more to you this year.
So lean on us, whether you’re a box scheme customer or one of our shop customers, we have Christmas in our sights and as you already know we can make it the most fabulous of feasts.
But what are we going to be eating this week? ……well here are some Menu ideas for this week
Fire Cracker Beef Use short ribs or shin in this slow cooked rich beef stew. Perfect for a bonfire night. Beef sausages on sticks Make a satay sauce for dipping these little bangers in. Great for eating around the fire or popping in a flask if you’re heading out to a fireworks display. A great way to have all the fun and save a few pennies too. Creamy celeriac soup. It’s officially soup season on the farm. There are lots of flasks out on display at lunch time most days. Baked potatoes with leftover stew or sausages and salad and winter slaw Roast vegetable with homemade hummus and flat breads Carrot cake with orange drizzle icing Plum pancakes served with thick whipped cream Enjoy your weekend and we hope to see you next weekend at the farm for our shopping (and eating) weekend.Starting on Friday and running right through to 4pm on Sunday.
We’ll have pulled pork sandwiches and beer and much more on offer.
Beth
