We’ve all had our warm coats and hats on this week and it’s May. I’ve never known such a miserable spring. It’s very cool and damp here. There’s very little growth and we’re all just a bit down in the dumps.
The cows and calves and ewes and lambs don’t seem to notice and gangs of lambs have their mad half hours chasing each other around the paddocks whilst the calves wonder a little further from their mothers as they get a bit older and stronger.
If the sun does shine they all enjoy a bit of sunbathing and lie lifeless in the suns warmth.We are still craving warming and comforting food…
