Flapjack

A sweet treat that’s quick and simple to make! I use this basic recipe and add all sorts of other ingredients to make different types. Have a look at the bottom of the page for some ideas!

  1. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup (or honey) together but do not allow to boil.
  2. Stir in the oats. It is at this point that you should add any other ingredients you are using.
  3. Combine well and then push into a square tin.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven (Gas 5 / 190 C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
Recipe Notes

The picture shows a nut and seed flapjack but the recipe is also great with chocolate chips or dried fruit. To finish it off, why not try adding a yoghurt topping!
