Welcoming lots of visitors

It’s been a mixed week of weather and jobs.

We’re working towards up coming events. It will be lovely to welcome the U3A here again after their visit many years ago, I wonder if they will see all the changes we have made, and next weeks flowers from the garden workshop to organise too.

Not to mention more planting, sowing, harvesting and weeding. At this time of year it’s never ending. We’ve had campers and guests in our Airbnb too.

We’ve still a few places left so if you do grow your own cut flowers and/or fancy learning how to make arrangements from cut flowers get in touch. It’s a fun day with a light lunch, wine, your flower arrangement to take away with you and an opportunity to walk around the gardens.

Menu ideas for this week

Spinach or chard pasta bake. This is an easy dish but works well as a supper or late dinner in the garden. Drizzle the salad you serve it with with basil oil for a fresh flavour.

Cheese and Green onion quiche with carrot slaw

Hassle back potatoes with burgers and salad

Beef kebabs on skewers or beef goulash with spicy rice and warm carrot and cardomon salad or griddled carrots.

Apple fritters with toffee sauce

Enjoy the sunshine
