Beth’s Blog – Lamb at last….

It’s June and the weather is against us. We really haven’t had any consistent warm weather. We’ve had rain, hail, wind and cold. Everything, including all of the team here, is desperate for the weather to improve. When you work outside you really notice the weather and this has been the worst spring we have had for many years.

The skies are over cast and the light levels aren’t even that great. We have pushed on with our planting and successional sowings but now we need Mother Nature to lend a hand.

The grass needs to motor too, we’ve a lot of hungry mouths to feed and we need the grass to be growing ahead of them so we can keep moving them onto fresh growth.

The planning for the open day is in full swing. We are super excited to be doing this again, it’s been a few years since we did one and everyone is keen to have you on the farm.

Please, if possible, book tickets. The price of the ticket is redeemable on any of the food stations or for tea/coffee or cake. It really helps us to plan for staff, harvesting and catering.
